Scholarship Overview

The Excellence Scholarship & Opportunity Programme (ESOP) at ETH Zurich supports outstanding Master’s students by offering financial assistance to cover both tuition and living expenses. Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must:

• Have completed their Bachelor’s degree in the top 10% of their class (grade A).
• ETH Zurich Bachelor’s students applying for a consecutive Master’s program are also eligible.
• Applicants must not already hold a Master’s degree or be enrolled in a Master’s program at ETH Zurich.

Fields of Study

All Master’s degree programs at ETH Zurich are eligible for the ESOP, giving students a wide range of disciplines to choose from.

How to Apply

To apply for the ETH Zurich ESOP, students must:

1. Submit an application via the eApply system as part of their online Master’s application.
2. Provide a pre-proposal for their Master’s thesis, following scientific citation practices.
3. If a pre-proposal is not required for the program, applicants must submit two reference letters from professors.
