The scholarship, part of the Oxford 1+1 MBA programme, supports students who wish to combine a Master’s degree from a partnering programme with an MBA at Oxford Saïd Business School.

About the Pershing Square Scholarships

Launched in 2014, the Pershing Square Scholarships are designed to support individuals who can demonstrate a commitment to finding scalable, sustainable solutions to world-scale social challenges. Scholars are selected for their academic excellence, leadership potential, personal integrity, and passion for creating lasting positive impact.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Oxford Pershing Square Scholarships, applicants must demonstrate:

• Academic achievement.
• Leadership potential, shown through experience and motivation.
• A strong personal character, integrity, and commitment to social causes.
• A vision to address large-scale global challenges, whether through an existing organization or by creating a new one.
• The ability to envision scalable and sustainable solutions to these challenges.
• A clear articulation of how the Oxford 1+1 MBA will help achieve these goals.

Benefits of the Scholarship

Successful applicants will receive:

• Full funding for tuition and college fees, plus a contribution toward living expenses for both years of study.
• Opportunities for mentorship and networking within the Pershing Square Foundation’s community.

How to Apply

To apply, you must:

1. Submit an application for the Oxford 1+1 MBA programme by January 6, 2025.
2. Indicate that you would like to be considered for the Pershing Square Scholarship in your application form.
3. Submit a 500-word essay addressing the following question:“How do you intend to change the world? What does this tell us about you as a person?”

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview with the selection panel.

Number of Awards

Only 5 scholarships are awarded each year, making this an exclusive and highly competitive opportunity.

Duration of Scholarship

The scholarship covers the full two-year duration of the Oxford 1+1 MBA programme.
